When I tell people my favorite pizza has mashed potatoes on it, I usually get the side-eye. But listen — it’s everything. Creamy, crispy, salty, and rich all at once. I’ve been coming to Bar in New Haven for years, and this is still my go-to order.

If you’re ever in Connecticut and you don’t try it, you’re playing yourself.

Why I Love It:

• Thin crust, perfectly charred

• The mashed potatoes aren’t too heavy — they’re whipped and spread thin

• The bacon adds the right crunch and salt

• It sounds weird, but it tastes like comfort
