Dinner at Drake’s Hollywood: Steak, Crab Claws, and Strawberry Cake Dreams

When you think of a Hollywood dinner you want a little luxury, a little fun, and of course food that makes you say OMG. Drake’s Hollywood checked every single one of those boxes for me. The vibe was giving bougie date night and the food had me full and happy.

We started with appetizers and let me just say the crab claws were the star of the whole night. Big, juicy, absolutely delicious. We ordered one round thinking we would share… and ended up ordering two more because they were that good. Three full rounds later and I was still saying I could come back to Drake’s Hollywood just for those claws. We also tried some sushi which was fresh and tasty, but the crab claws had me locked in.

For my entrée I had the Delmonico steak, medium well. Perfectly cooked. Juicy, tender, seasoned just right. When a steak is done correctly you don’t even think about steak sauce and I did not add a thing. I also had lobster mac and cheese on the side which was creamy, rich, and absolutely delicious. Easily one of my favs.

Now the drinks. The first one I tried was called the Mexican and OMG it was strong. Basically a glass of tequila with heavy lime zest. Bitter and not my vibe at all. I took a couple sips and said yeah no. My second drink was the Lemon Fizz and that completely turned the night around. Light, smooth, refreshing, and perfect with my food. I loved it so much I ended up ordering two.

For dessert we shared the strawberry 24-layer cake and I can’t even explain how huge it was. Gorgeous presentation, creamy layers, sweet without being too much, and honestly so good. Two of us could not even finish it but every bite was worth it.

The bill was not small but the experience felt worth it. The steak was on point, the lobster mac hit, the crab claws were unforgettable, and that strawberry cake was the perfect ending. Service was solid and the vibe was very Hollywood without feeling stuffy.

Would I go back? Absolutely. Drake’s Hollywood gave me one of my favorite dinners in LA and those crab claws alone are calling me back.
