Sick, Stressed and Thankful 🥰

Good morning y’all. Yesterday my body told me to sit down! So I did. Sometimes you don’t get a choice, your body makes it for you. I curled up in bed and decided the only thing I’d push myself to do was order delivery.


I made a little sick-day list: tissues, vitamin C, tea, honey… the usual comfort items. Of course, nothing went smoothly. My order came back missing essentials, and then when I finally ordered food, it showed up an hour and a half late with soggy cabbage. For a moment, I really felt like the world was testing me.


But here’s the thing, life will test you. It doesn’t always show up in big dramatic ways; sometimes it’s the little inconveniences piling up when you’re already not at 100%. That’s when you have a choice: complain, or keep it moving. I chose to keep it moving.

🛌 How I Handled It

I stuck to the basics:


  • TheraFlu to ease the heaviness

  • Cold-Eeze lozenges (zinc is definitely underrated)

  • Tea with honey to soothe and hydrate

  • Naps when I needed them

  • Even filmed a couple of TikToks while I waited for my water to boil



It wasn’t glamorous, but it was enough.


🌞 The Bounce Back

Less than 24 hours later, I woke up a completely different person. I stretched, walked Jolie, went to the gym, and felt amazing. And in that moment, it hit me — this is the beauty of listening to your body. If you give it the rest and care it’s asking for, it will fight for you harder than you realize.


✨ The Bigger Picture

Being sick, even just for a day, is a reminder of how easy it is to take health for granted. When we feel good, we’re focused on goals, money, schedules, and the next trip. But none of it matters without your health. No bag, no car, no flight compares to waking up in a body strong enough to carry you through the day.


That’s the real flex.


And it’s not lost on me that the reason I bounced back so quickly is because I’ve built that strength. Just like I fight hard to make money and chase opportunities, I fight just as hard to take care of myself. Yesterday had me down bad, but today my body reminded me: girl, we got you.

Take care of yourself. Listen when your body whispers before it screams. Don’t overlook the small signals. Because the glow, the success, and the lifestyle hit different when you’re healthy inside and out.


I’m proud of myself for listening, proud of my body for pushing through, and thankful for the reminder that health is wealth in its purest form. 💖
